" 928 " have had a quick " Google " and much about the man and his single seaters racing cars and later exploits, almost nothing about the " Maserarri ". Have seen some photos, and there may even be one or two on TRS, especially about early Levin racing.
This from Allan Dick of " Autonews " " NZ Classic Driver " and now " Classic Autonews " fame.
It is part of a New Zealand Classic Driver article;
Published after his death in 2021.
" Wellingtonians already knew McRae’s abilities as both an engineer and a racing car driver, and his self-built Maserarri sports car (with a variety of engines) had been both fast and a thing of great beauty. "
This from Historic Racing site;
" McRae was born in Wellington, New Zealand. He left University in 1963 with a degree in engineering. While still at university he started building his first car which he called the McRae 220S. "
Presume this is / was the Maserarri.
Will see what I can find, as actually came across a photo recently and forgot to " borrow / save " it.
I think I have seen some in Milan Fistonic vast archives, when he ahs posted on TRS or " Old New Zealand Motor Racing " Facebook page.
Hopefully more to come
At Whenuapai in 1994 driven by Ross Ford.
Came across this on another TRS thread -
Graham McRae was there in the Maserarri at the 1962 meeting.
Last Entrant on the right hand page. - Milan Fistonic archives.
Couldn't see it in the 1963 List of Entries.
- but check it out anyway.
Think it is the " Maserarri " in the corner [ top left ] of this photos of Kenny Smith - at Levin, cam just see part of the nose and headlight.
thanks for the replies

928 a couple more photos, just put them on the Random Photos thread - they belong here - I also put the ERC and Milan more recent photos of the car.
1962 Brian Faulkner photos.
Photo from the 1963 Shell Book of NZ Motor Racing. - by Euan Sarginson
Note the spelling in the Shell Book photo Massarari - is it Maserrari Maserarri or Massarari ?
