Ray, there you are, could keep the original thread going. I am jealous as my 6 threads, Dunedin, Early Pics Pukekohe, NSCC, a couple of small ones [ Lakeside 2015 ] MX5 and of course the Austin Healey one - I have only got to a bit over 1/2 a million, so keep going.

May have to get Steve to merge the recent postd to " Just a Mix of Pics #1 ".

Cheers, and thanks for the Healeys, Frank Karl in the first AH pic, the Red over Black car am unsure whose !!

    * This refers to me starting up a new thread, thinking I was clogging the system, so that new thread has now been merged with this one, but there was only one set of pictures.

    Hi Ray, many thanks!

I've now merged the new thread into the existing one. Let me know if you want any of these last posts removed.

Cheers! No need to delete posts Steve. I hope that Rhys has managed to get back into this thread as he was having issues.

Well, I get into some pages, this one is OK so far, the previous one I get about 3/4 of the way down and then see half photos and the "spinning wheel of death" before the site stalls out with the normal message "this site can't be reached".

    Rhys,
You are not alone with this issue. I have been in the middle of an input and it wipes it all away which is frustrating but after 20 to 30 minutes it seems to be back to normal. It has been doing this for at least 3 months to me and I thought someone didn't like my material or because we are from the Waikato or something ! At least know it is not Ray's thread, perhaps it is " the Russians "..

It happens to me too. Can't get back in again at all for a while.

Quick flick back to 2016 - to slim down the reserves folder! Not my favourite race group as once the Lotus 23B trounced all and sundry, all other under 2 litre sports cars looked much of a muchness.

Incidentally, for those who enjoyed the Chelsea Hillclimbs, the MGCC have invited the Vintage Car Club to the Otaua HillClimb early March - the event previously run by the Austin Healey Club. I might see if I can wangle a pass for that, but before then, February 2nd/3rd is the Leadfoot Festival which I always enjoy. We'll do our usual expedition on the Sunday but there are moves to travel down in GT's this time...

Goodwood 2018. Virtually no cars that I haven't shown before, just different locations.

Winner's parade again. ERA R3A, currently seems to be the quickest of those still running regularly. Winner in 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015 Goodwood Trophy. Pretty impressive for a 1934 car.

Last batch from Goodwood 2018, though there might be one or two that escaped being posted and may pop up again in the future.

I knew it would take time to post a fair selection from so many taken, but hopefully, I have covered a representative selection to give you a taste of what the Goodwood Revival is all about. Hopefully, I'll get back there again some time but may only do the Friday, but let's wait and see.

Plenty of AC Cobra's at Goodwood - possibly too many!

Not everything is exotic. This Standard convertible could well have been my Godfathers - as it even has a Nottingham registration!

An interesting set of three showcases of models of cars raced by Stirling Moss - and bear in mind his career was effectively only from 1948 to 1962.

    Brilliant Ray,

Love those models .. as you say for " Chaindrive " Tony L..

As for those E-type's " Spark " made the three " Cunningham Team " Jaguars for Le Mans 1963 - 5114 WK race #14 - your photo, I have 5115 WK race #15 in 1;43 scale. and there was a third car.

I'm slowly (very slowly - and painfully at times) working my way through the mounted slides to try and first of all check the dates, the quality of the scan (remember, some were a bit duff) then renumber using my usual year, month, day configuration, but now just adding the slide collection number, rather than trying to sort out the sequence number. What this does is now enable me to check on the digital images and tell whether or not they were scanned from film strips (negatives or photographs) or slides.

So far, I have only worked my way through 150 mounted slides!

Sticking with my heading of 'A Mix of pics', you'll now get a mix of older stuff and up to date pics.

    Couple of older ones...

Ardmore 1989. Can someone please confirm the make of car? Presumably a fibreglass body on more mundane underpinnings.

The white car seems to be BMC A-series based. Wheels and back axle at least.

Ray [ Bell ] and Ray [Green ] the body is a Hawke /Jarvie body - were used to clothe Ford 10 [like Howden Ganley's Dad's car ] and other chassis.. They were used on a Buckler or two as well " Oldfart " may know more.
Agree with Ray B that the wheels do look BMC - ish ..

Have the Ardmore 1989 entry list somewhere - now to find it ??

  20. #2680
I don't know that white car specifically, it could, however, be a car that was recently on the market here in the UK as having "solid NZ race history" except the seller would not respond to my requests for me to go and have a look. The description mentioned OHV ford components, maybe a later build?
