    Old Shutter Man

I have been viewing for some time and have decided also to join in.
My name is Ross Cammick and I spent a good deal of my time photographing
racing and rallying in the upper North Is from 1973 to around 1984 when I
    went overseas for my OE.
Presently take more interest in Historic Racing scene and I still manage to
shoot the odd photo or two when I get inspired.
Here's a couple from the past

    Welcome Ross

I would have recognised Jim Donald even without reading the name on the car, but who's driving the ex-Hyslop/Palmer Cooper?

This photo was taken at Ardmore reunion - Stirling Moss driving.
I believe the car is still owned by Charlie Conway.
Nice to hear from you Dave. We had quite a bit of contact when you were
at MotorAction magazine. Email would have been very handy in those days!

Thanks Ross - Moss's hat fooled me

If we'd had today's technology back then I would have expected race reports and photos on my computer by the time I got to my office on Monday mornings

Charlie still has the car, unless he sold it within the last week or two.

I recall talking to Sterling Moss at that meeting, commiserating with him regarding how sticky tyres had taken all the fun out out driving. I was not surprised that he was in full agreement in this regard.

I never actually owned an Escort, but co drove for Kevin Lancaster mainly when he wasn't on duty with Jim Donald. He had a yellow Mk 1 Mexico at the time.
I navigated with a few other people including John Stewart and Graeme Morley.
I certainly spent a lot of time in the forests though, but mainly on the other side
    of the camera.
