The beautiful Bamford 250GTO ended up getting crushed against the embankment during qualifying for the pre-1965 GT race, having just qualified on pole.
Ouch, and also nearly lost an E Type as well.
Caught a bit of the front engine GP cars last night. Considering the great array of cars running, it's a pity we never see them, as the camera never leaves the front runners.
The St Mary's Race, Part 2 was awesome. Good battle between the A40 and the Alfa Giulietta with the 2 Mk1 Jags behind and the A95 lurking in the background.
Great Stuff.
I just watched the RAC TT for the GT cars, all 60 minutes of it! An outstanding and ever-changing race in which the leading lightweight E Type of Ward/Sheddon was given a 30 second time penalty after Ward had punted a couple of the Cobras, handing victory to the Gans/Wolf in the dark green Cobra. Some of the driving was a bit desperate! But still hugely entertaining to watch.
