A great team and driver in the 1970s was the Wood Brothers and David Pearson.
This shows the 1973 Ford Mercury Montego always with # 21. Outside their humble shop in Stuart, Virginia.

This was at the time that Wood Brothers were at their best.

    Agree the building is "humble"

I remember Team Lotus borrowed their pit crew for Jim Clark's first tilt at Indianapolis. They were just so good.

    Terry,
I had forgotten about the Jim Clark connection with the Wood Brothers, so thanks for that reminder and again thanks for starting this thread as I have been having fun with it.
    Cheers,
    Ken.

Actually, '70 Roadrunner is a pretty desirable beast these days too. Most of the Mopar muscle from that era is worth big money.

    Do you have any photos?

1962. The same Ferrari Transporter arriving at Spa.
The # 9 Ferrari was driven by Phil Hill and finished 3rd.
The other Ferrari type 156 # 10 was driven by Willy Mairesse which I think was destroyed in the race when he collided with the Lotus of Trevor Taylor.

Sory Steve I have looked, and can only find a photo of the car taken head on parked under a tree, and that is small and faded

I know they've been in another thread but some Kiwi racing car transport.

    928,
Check this junkyard in Alabama. You might see your 70 Roadrunner in the more than 200 photos.

p.s. On another personal note my daughter and future husband are about to arrive and their wedding is next Saturday so until the action dies down you will not have to put up with my ramblings.
( Any tips for making a suitable father to daughter wedding speech ?)

I will not even mention the Chinese man who did not want to move to the United States when he found out that you can only have an election once every four years !
