Next batches will be a bit more varied (probably still from the UK trip initially - and even the odd Goodwood leftover) but uploaded here as I continue the job of sorting, deleting and filing, before I return to the scanning of old negatives and slides. I cannot believe that 11.5 years has now passed since acquiring my first quality compact digital camera, but 20 years since the first use of a Casio digital, with terrible image quality and 4 x AA batteries that lasted about 15 minutes...

Brooklands - There were plenty of Dutch registered classic cars around en-route for Goodwood.
The Brooklands' cars deserve to be displayed with a bit more space around them, but some great cars in there, many in an 'as raced' condition and not restored.

The F1 simulator looked to be so realistic that it was impossible for an ordinary driver to deal with!

Brooklands - a look around...
The much promoted Napier 4D 'ride experience' has several options. I paid for the Napier ride (4D) and also the 'a lap of Le Mans with Mike Hawthorn - on the public road', which is a B & W 2D experience only. I was a little underwhelmed with both if I am really honest.
What the cafe menu does not show is the hot meal option, which I thought excellent for value and taste.

I thought the English version was 'Concord' - but on checking today, that was in fact changed later to 'Concorde' - and Benn's explanation is quite amusing, especially when challenged by a Scot!

Anyone who knows me well will appreciate that I like my food... Although I didn't sample everything, this stall selling cheese on toast was doing a roaring trade - and this was taken 8am, in the area immediately outside the track footbridge.
It says MG in the background, but as this drive train replaces the venerable old B series, can this photograph be classed as MG?

Next stop was the Mini factory tour in Oxford. very impressive but no photographs allowed other than in their small museum.
On then to the Coventry Transport Museum. Wow! This was a real surprise - and free entry. Some exhibits were exceptionally well displayed.

This is the exit to newly named, 'Double Bastard' corner... Race driving instructor Mike Eady was busy taking notes to identify the correct lines, to add to his superb track driving manual. Not easy, as several drivers discovered, resulting in several red flags early on Friday.

It would be different I there was descriptions but these seem lackin. Surely if you are at a meeting you would buy a program to identify the cars. I consider this is a wasted exercise. But maybe others get some sort of enjoyment from seeing photos of cars they have no idea what they are.
The title of the thread, just in case you hadn't noticed, is 'Just a Mix of Pics'...
Most recent pics are named anyway, if you care to run your mouse over, and far from viewers not knowing what they really are, I'd suggest that many know far more about them than I do. Judging by the number of hits, there must be at least half a dozen people who are happy with them as they are. Anyone else want to comment? (The very first pic has had 8031 hits, so far...)
I'm certainly not writing a book on each and every pic, just to appease those who aren't really interested anyway or who have a very limited knowledge. It is merely sharing pics that would otherwise be buried on a PC, that ultimately will be probably dumped/wiped when I keel over.
I'm more than happy to expand or answer queries if required.

Terry it's a bit like the TV. If you don't like the programme there is always the "off button". I don't look at every thread as they don't all interest me. You could choose to not look at Ray's photos?
