This is part of a photo that was sent to me to identify ,I'm open to suggestions on this one
Colin Smith and Tom Donvan Sprite Timaru 1976
ok I have a few here, not sure what is what so I will let my learned colleagues judge
A few more
Lastly
These all appear to be from the pre-SCANZ era, and most aren't 2-litre cars. Perhaps Steve would like to peel them off into another thread, and leave this one "pure"...
Either way -
Post 5: Lycoming Special No.1 (twice), an MGB GT, Rhubarb III? (Bob?), Ferrari 250LM, Scott Wiseman's E-type
Post 6: PMS-Climax?, JRM?, Lotus Seven 100 (Ross West?), Lancer 71, Wiseman again, JRM?
Post 7: first pic looks like a single-seater (which I can't identify), then Elfin or Gemco (they both at Gemco bodies at one stage, and I can't remember OTTOMH who ran 59)
This is the Colour Scheme of Rhubarb 3 in the first season of my ownership
That photo is from Timaru from the meeting which the Australian cars came across to
contest ,the car behind is Jamie Aislabie in Sid 2
Sorry first post of #7 is listed being the Terrapin engine bay
Would the Terrapin be the car of Kevin Ingram ?
Post #2 is Rhubarb 1. Hi Bob I own this car and you helped me track down its history (Thanks). Dennis Dunbar purchases it from Adrian and Collin. Have more photos if anyone interested.
Always interested in photos west17. are you going to be running the car at any time.
From what I understand the true SCANZ series in the 2 litre format didint start untill 1972 although there was some form of a sportscar series running prior to its inception.
This was Rhubarb 3 in its final evolution in my ownership with 1860 cc 416b Hart based Twin Cam Engine,it was very much modified by that time
