Sorry about the no show but after being allowed to attend The Denny memorial I was pushing my luck to go two weekends. There was an absence of Roaring Season t-shirts to be seen on the second weekend. Disappointed!!

The U2 has been restored by Dave Waldron who now lives in Queensland, Jamie.
This was Grant [Sprague] & Jamie at Bay Park My SCANZ car is called a merlyn built in the deep south as a U2 in the early 70's then Dave & Lawrence Brown ran it in SI Im certain friend Barry Turner [Timaru] Built this beautiful body & put a 2ooo nissan cook motor in it , I bought it & did on & off meetings Taupo, Bay Park & manfield , the chassis was fantastic stopped & turned

Yes Jamie, car #9 was Warren Steel, it was the first outing for Rhubarb 5.....not sure of the year but it would have been around 76/77. it was the only time it ran with a full width front splitter. It was a pretty quick gigger when we got it sorted towards the end of the season......... I remember doing the cam timing "in situ" in the Manfield stables with you
