God - what a shock. You seldom ever think about this sort of thing happening in NZ and especially in historic racing.

That`s right Mike, I spent a bit of time talking with Stan at the Denny Hulme Festival, and on other occassions, and he was racing for the right reasons - enjoyment. This hobby can be cruel at times...... R.I.P Stan.

Stan Redman will be very sadly missed by all of us, he was a top guy with a good outlook on what he was doing and a pleasant fellow to share the time with. To the family our Condolences.
F5000 and motorsport in NZ has lost one of it's characters, but Stan will never be forgotten among us.
    Rest In Peace Stan Redman

When I saw the car come in last Friday, I couldn't believe what I saw - in all my years of going to racetracks, I've never seen a more damaged car.

He was a great bloke, an absolute enthusiast and a decent driver as well - this is not a surprise given the messages we were getting, but terribly sad.

    Rest in peace Stan.

RiP - I can add no more. Any racer lost is sad, more so when it is in the classic/historic arena.

My condolences to the family and friends of Stan Redmond.
Although I never met him in person, at least I had the pleasure of watching him hustle his Lola. The people I have spoken to, who did know him, say he was an entrepreneur, an enthusiast and a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

F5000 Fan Club report that Stan Redmond's funeral will be held this Friday at 1pm at La Vida in Riccarton, Christchurch.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust and / or the Child Cancer Foundation would be appreciated
