ERC, The Ford V8-60.. Do you know whose it is ? - The number Plate 34,703 - looks like this period issue - 1941 - 46 - with a diamond symbol in the centre ..
Presume it was built like this in that period - A Nice piece of Engineering.

ERC and others - answered my own question - information and photo from the Leadfoot Website.
" Roy was born 1942 and lived in Hamilton nearly all his life. His first car was a 1930 Ford Model A that he purchased when he was 16. He joined NZ Vintage Car Club at that time and has been a member for 54 years. Roy has owned a wide variety of early Fords and V8s, Lincoln Zephyrs and more recently delved into vintage racing machinery – speedway midget, hill climb sprinter, both fitted with V8 60 engine and driven in a few vintage hill climb and circuit race meetings.
1938 V8 60 Special – This car was built up at the turn of the century as a period special from the 1930s using an American 1938 Ford V8 60 engine, 2.3 litre, 136cu.in.; 1938 Lincoln Zephyr 3 speed gear box, with 1940 English Ford front and rear axles and steering box; using transverse springs and cable brakes; aluminium body. It has competed in several vintage hill climbs and circuit race meetings during the last 10 years. "

Well, that is the end of the first run through alphabetically. It must be obvious that there are loads that haven't been covered and some letters where there were slim or zero pickings. I may start again.
Many thanks to Tim Hill and Bruce for going to bat on behalf of we free lance photographers/media, with MSNZ. It looks as though, with HRC's backing, we won't be confined to the public areas, at National and lower level meetings, if we apply for 'Silver' accreditation.
As we generally don't bother with 'tier 1' championship meetings anyway, we should be OK. All we need now is a good turnout of cars, which looks to be the biggest challenge for organisers. Getting entries in late is not going to cut it anymore, as organisers, quite rightly, will be cancelling events if numbers are low at the closing date.
We can only but try Ray, but to all of you guys who want to enjoy your hobby of photography please do contact Tim or myself and we will write a letter to cover you in your application to MSNZ.
We, HMC/HSC have some great cars coming this season, like Paul with his FIA Falcon Sprint, Chris with his Holman Moody 427 Fairlane and Leon with his Galaxie 427 plus a gaggle of Anglia’s.
We can only but try and Ray is right, get your entries in early.

ERC, what is the background to the 1937 Austin Racer #35 in the scrub, is it one of the cars in the last photo #10 and #1.?.
I note #1 with the twin rear wheels. - Would like to know a bit of the History ..
Sorry Roger, without doing some research, I'm not sure about any link between the three Austins. Fitting twin rear wheels was often done in hillclimbs for better traction before they developed wider tyres, but also for circuit racing - see pic below, which I think is the same car. The little lip above the radiator grille is one giveaway.
Just had a quick look at the entry for the 1937 meeting.
Driver of car 35 was Charles Goodacre.
Someone posted a 2010 pic of the Austins in the Donington museum, but neither had twin rear wheels.
One is a Twin cam and one I think is a side valve. There was also a pale blue car built in the 1970's, which was at Donington last time I went - but in the paddock cafe!
This is Bert Hadley Donington 1937 - but not sure which meeting. I can't fix it with the scans I did of old Donington programmes (since sold). Clearly shows the twin rear wheels.

In respect of the BSA photos, it is significant that the first photo shows the car in its original form, with poppet valve engine and nineteen inch wheels, whereas the following photos show the the car in its final form with rotary valve engine and fifteen inch wheels.
The first photo shows Ralph driving in his significant modified helmet and those following presumably show Ray Ferner driving, i.e. the current very respectful owner of the car. It is truly gratifying that the car remains carefully cared for and in regular competition.
