This just came through from "Bring a Trailer".
This interesting auction shows over five hundred classics, said to be from the ’40s through the ’80s, in an old towing storage lot. The photos show a great deal of sunbaked Detroit iron, though it would be interesting to see what all is included. The seller notes that most of the cars are basically intact, which could yield some restorable -projects out of the acres of parts cars. Find it here on eBay in Apache Junction, Arizona, with bids starting at $500k.
Can you post up a link Rhys? That looks interesting!
Struggling with a link, but Ebay auction number is 171027628789
Type bring a trailer in google and there it is. Fascinating collection.
Bedford Vam Team bus anyone?
Bus (post 246) at Towai, Northland, and it was moved last few weeks so it must be mobile, even if it doesn't look it!
bry3500, this is what happens when you sell classic/expensive cars to mobsters, and brats like Justin Bieber. They buy them cos they can. When they go wrong, or they no longer match their latest hair-do, they ditch them and move on to something else.
These twerps shouldn't be able to buy anything more fancy than a Toyota Corolla.
Makes you weep to see these things abandoned. I guess some of them have been saved but of course this should never have happened in the first place.
You are obviously very interested in these poor forgotten machines as you started this thread a couple of years ago and have posted some really interesting stuff.
Cant say I 'enjoy' seeing these pictures but keep them coming.........keeps my adrenaline pumping!!!!!!
I just wish I was loaded so I can spend my days going around the world buying these cars and restoring/race them...
I believe the bus in #245 is sold!
Wooooooow just amazing ..never seen these before .........school boys dream ..well big boys dream to come upon these in an old shed ....not so much in NZ..but yes I know there are a few about but nothing like these
