Great stuff as usual Nigel.
I bet Alec Issigonis had no idea how the world would take to his Mini, in all of its forms and 60 years later, we can still get all enthusiastic about them.
Cheers Ray, I understand there were over 150 Minis on dsplay. It was interesting to compare the new "Minis" with the original cars. The new ones look as big as trucks!!
Wonderful,clear photos, Nigel, thank-you.
I guess my 1962 original would look a bit out of place over there.
Even the locals here take no notice of it, as this photo shows !

(Hyndman's Mini Cooper a week ago in the local country town parade. )
Lovely pics Nigel.
Nigel, thanks for these the last few posts - the Healey's the Mini's and others - saw some of the Mini's at Ngatea on Friday heading for the Bay of Plenty and some around Tauranga - Yesterday. That Race car was on a trailer - saw it both days. Ngatea and Fraser Cove.
I will [ as you might expect ] " borrow " the A-H photos .. - see a couple of cars I know and a couple of people in the background too !!
Cheers..
Photos now borrowed from 2019 Brit Euro - see the Valiant Healey alongside a 3000 and Ross Cammick car HL3000 too Thanks
Nigel..Nice Allard and is that a Renault Floride above rf guard..NZ Hot Rod mag used one as a project...nifty car
John McK - I would say yes the Floride or Caravelle in some markets - believe some were Cabriolets some were hardtop Coupe and I think a remove-able hardtop version too !! I am not a Francophile so no expert, UK is more my Domain .. with some USA and AUStralia knowledge too !!
