June Caffeine and Classics - this meet, despite the dodgy weather, still attracts cars we haven't seen before - and many regulars of course.

Great a Singer Sports - were they called a "Le Mans" believe or not I have a ' Dublo Dinky ' " 00 " scale model of that.
Dinky introduced Dublo [ 00 = double O ] for their 00 Railways and also to combat " Matchbox ", don't think that lasted too long as Hornby got taken over.
Then later on Mattel seemed to have picked most of small model and railway manufacturers..
This is supposed to be a Le mans
Yes Roger. I had that model too. Singer Roadster 1500 I believe. Sold it, along with a good percentage of my Dinky collection to finance a cruising habit...
Now started listing a whole swag of stuff. Time to downsize the various piles and collections, so as not to burden the surviving family when I do finally shuffle off. Part of the 'Advance Care Planning' philosophy.
I haven't exactly got one foot in the grave just yet, but after my wife's heart attack a year ago, it caused a radical shake up and an 'Advanced Care Planning' session highlighted just what others may have to deal with.
Dealing with my parent's stuff in the UK was a major mission and although there were some collectible treasures, it was several week's hard work.
Quite frankly, I don't want to burden the family here and there has to come a time when you have to sit back and take stock. Having already taken stock, I realise that even listing the stuff is a huge time consuming task, let alone disposing of it!
Just to get Roger dribbling... (Yes, you may steal them...) Goodwood Revival 2009.

If I hadn't had my brother with me, and a need to get to Christchurch (UK!) for the Chris Barber concert, I would have spent more time here in this external car park, taking photographs. I'll keep my eyes open this year.

Gunna steal the whole set,
Cheers Ray and " Ripleys believe it or not " I should be at Caffeine and Classics July, in Auckland for a few weeks, the MX5 which has stayed here needs a warrant - travelled about 40km since the last one, has a flattish battery - the power not the style, so here is hoping I get there ..
quote Ray Green ERC

Looks like one of the 2 or 3 Rolls Royce powered Healeys beside the 100S's ??

Ray, what a choice Chris Barber or Austin Healey, I like Jazz [and Blues too ] so understand a hard call.
Thank you for the photos - they will probably appear on the Austin Healey 100S Facebook page - with due acknowledgement very soon, like tomorrow !!
I have a double CD for you then Roger - the "Down Under Tour 2000". (Chris Barber & Kenny Ball bands) They left me with the unsold stock - as a thank you for assisting with CD and programme sales on the tour. I'll try and remember to bring it along.
Ray, are we still on for a meet?
Yes Rhys! Still waiting for an email from a UK buddy regarding a possible Coventry trip, plus a day when a couple of kiwi friends will come up to Nottingham for the day. I'm planning on doing the morning at least, of the Grimsthorpe Castle Speed Trials event, August 26th.

But Ray,
I thought you were joining Bruce Thompson, Rod Grimwood and myself for lunch at Laguna Seca, California on August 26th ?
I guess I got confused between Grimsthorpe and Grimwood. Sorry.

Sorry Ken. Much as I would have liked to have joined you, it wasn't possible.
I have too few days in the UK as it is and I seem to be filling my diary rather quickly, but at least I should have a swag of pictures to share when I do finally return, as I'm away again for a week with my wife, her daughter and another lady, just 2 days after getting back to NZ.
Grimsthorpe Castle popped up via a Facebook page for Raymond Mays.

Sorry for ot Ray, emails are bouncing to the address I have for you.
Email sent Rhys. I had to dump my original email as it was being spammed. Shame, as I'd had it since I first had my own domain.

Where's the Jag these days? Haven't seen it for years.......
Rumour has it that Greg still owns the car and there was even talk of him coming out to play again. We live in hope.

Frazer Nash Roger, but it is one of the few meetings where I lost my programme and never managed a replacement. I certainly have it filed as Frazer Nash!

Took a lot of research over an extended period and and no end of emails to even get the date confirmed...
Amazing what you can find when you put the registration plate and Frazer Nash into Google! It's a 1954 Sebring.

Yup. Still here Roger. C & C is still enjoyable - and free, which Goodwood definitely isn't! I'll probably be there earlyish. Might take the MGF for a WoF and bring it down, but I really do need to sell it, as I just don't use it enough. 1998 and only 70,000kms on the clock.

Ray,
I am not very good with Formula Fords but it does look like a Valour FF that Peter Hughes drove well in about 1972.

Thanks Ken. Saved me a heap of time! I didn't realise it was also NZ made.
