Arthur Kennard - 1954 100 that became the Healey - Corvette.
Kelvin Brown wrote about the photo ;
" Looks like the Lake Bryndwr circuit with " Pop " Fisher of Kaikoura in his Ford 10 Special on the tail of maybe Arthur Kennard ? Austin Healey, likely the tight bit at the back before turning out on to the main straight, a good photo. ".
Photo appeared in the article by Allan Dick on the Healey Corvette in NZ Classic Driver issue #63 [ Nov-Dec 2015 ]
with the notation
" Arthur Kennard raced in standard four cylinder form [ for the 1955/56 and 1956/57 ] and is seen here at the little known Bryndwr " lake " circuit being chased by a midget ",
The Modifications took place in mid late 1957 in time for the 1957/58 racing season.

Photos of the " Healey 100 " that became the Austin Healey 100 overnight at the Earls Court Motor Show in late 1952.

At the Show with Donald Healey and Leonard Lord and apparently a politician ?
Amended / deleted my comment not a 100
- this is a prototype BN4 as noted by Joe Jarick " 100-Six. Sir Anthony Eden was Prime Minister 1955-1957. He was knighted in 1954. "
The BN4 was introduced in 1956. Production from August 1956 to March 1959
and Jim Lesher asked " Who has information about this Longbridge BN4 in the photo? "
The answer from Joe Jarick " Specially built at Austin in a section dedicated to building prototypes and show cars. Likely, sold off at the motor show. "
