The site keeps crashing on me...
My plans for the April trip now include the Petersen museum - including the vault (LA); National Motor Museum; Goodwood members meeting; Gaydon; Coventry Transport Museum; Great Northern Classics (Derby); Cadwell Park race meeting - Equipe.
Some are repeats, some new, but I'll be adding to my library.
Two cars with a kiwi connection.

A skip through time to yesterday's TACCOC meeting at Hampton Downs. (Site keeps crashing from Microsoft Edge when I try to insert pics.) Fourth attempt.
Keith Jones Austin A40 - with an A series engine. These days, not a cheap engine to rebuild. We need more of these on track. The handicap format means that smaller engined cars still have a chance.
Grant Kern's Austin A40. Not an A or even a B series engine, but a bog standard engine from an unlikely source, but still British. He bought the donor car for $1500, removed the engine and sold the remains of the car for - $1500. Lapping at about 1:23. Great to see - but no chance of a CoD... Who cares?
Good to see the return of Tim's Lotus Elan and Glen's MGB. At a time when the number of British cars had been shrinking, apart from Capri's and Escorts, cheered me up no end.
Probably one of my favourite pics, as the recently restored ERA GP2 (with lowered driver's seat!) didn't make the starting line for the race.
Batch 2 for today - local!

Commentator JT was short of a 7mm socket to sort out his BMW, so had to resort to the Classic Trial instead.

Hard to believe that ERA only built 17 cars from 1933 and only 1 was totally destroyed, but Tony Merrick built a 'replacement' (AJM 1) yet many of them are still being raced - and raced hard. Dad was passionate about 'British made' hence his support for ERA and BRM. I guess I inherited that gene.
R3A - currently the most successful; R4A; R4D - previously the fastest car and raced successfully by Raymond Mays; R5B 'Remus', historically the most successful ERA.
