Apparently Oldfart in the UK is currently not able to view the pics. I know it was difficult when there were six pics per post, (I had the same problem on the laptop) but once reduced to 4, it seemed to work OK. I'm not sure why he can't now view the pics.
Edited: The previous page doesn't load but this one (so far) does, so I'm assuming it is a computer memory issue.
Batch two for today.
If there is just one standout driver/car combination who impresses me at each Revival it has to be Patrick Blakeney-Edwards in a Frazer Nash. The 2021 visit it was in the hilarious 'Owlet' saloon, but this pic is lap one of qualifying and already, he's giving it some stick.
Yesterday, this contribution disappeared...
Ray, where was the picture of the RA Vanguard taken?
All the current postings are from the recent UK trip, so either Gaydon or Goodwood.
Goodwood was Friday only and I believe the RA Vanguard and ERA GP2 both failed to start the actual race with mechanical issues. Pics taken during qualifying are therefore precious.
I really don't care a jot about race results, I just want photographs of as wide a variety of cars as possible that I can share and add to my ever expanding library.
I did take several more of most cars I show on here so it is just a fraction of those taken and filed. I'm pencilling in a return in 2025, possibly all 3 days, as we have just booked a September cruise out of Auckland and I suspect my wife will opt out of a return to the UK next year.
Batch 2 today.
Next year, it looks as though I'll have a solo trip to the UK so I have decided to join the GRRC and attend the members meeting in April. It will be interesting to see how it compares. Fewer race groups and just two days but at least I'll get pics of some cars that we don't see at the Revival.
I haven't spoken to anyone who has been to that event.
As my trip will cover Easter, I'm hoping that I may catch a classic or vintage event of some sort at Mallory Park, Cadwell, Donington or maybe even Shelsley.
