Lea Francis - taken from outside the family home, 1966. Note the RM Riley in the background, heading towards town.
The Total garage/petrol station, was, many years earlier, where dad met mum for the first time. He was assisting on the garage forecourt when she appeared needing the tyres pumped up on her bike.
Later, this was the base for 'Roys Motors', who bought two ratty old double deckers for our school run. Roy and his lovely wife lived in the bungalow, before selling up and moving to South Africa. It then changed to Speeds, Volvo dealers, before the whole lot was demolished for flats.

I am in Chatswood too !
ERC is relieved, or has been relieved of the Six Boxes of the NZCC mags - yesterday. They now live in Hillcrest in my Late Uncle's workshop
Spent a couple of hours today sorting through them - found a few with Austin Healey articles as well as Triumph's.
So some stories to come.
Thanks Ray,
If anyone is chasing Back issues - happy to part with most of the ones 1993-2014 for the cost of the postage.
Usually around $5.00 for an envelope that will take several.
Cheers Guys,
PS for those who were at Caffeine and Classics last Sunday - there was a Swallow Doretti with UK style number plates.
I note that the same car features in one of the NZ CC Magazines from around 2006.
Not the White one in ERC's post #3383 but a Red one - took a couple of photo's - now to download.
These things take time !

Post #3452 could be Le TEC-MEC
Number 28on post 3452 looks more FJ size than a Lancia?
Sorry guys, but my labelling is correct! Tec Mec was at the same meeting, wearing #26. Number 28 is a Lancia Marino. Nice try but no chocolate fish.

The Haig Citroen Special in Green next to the Watson Lycoming, other Lycoming is the Rutherford Car - all still exist and are restored/rebuilt.
Not sure if the Rutherford Car is fully done, but looks like it from the last photo in the post.
It certainly wasn't when I photographed it at the Hamilton Classic Museum in 2014.
