1989 - Frazer Nash - but they coined the term 'Replica' as a model name! Confused me from a young age with my I-Spy book.
Attachment 73451
With some Icebreaker pics gradually being filed, I can give the 'Replica's/Kitcars' a break for a while, but this one was already set to upload.
2012 - Jaguar Special

I left at just after 1pm into a 3km two lane traffic queue heading north at 8kph, but nowhere near as long as the queue heading south. The queue heading north not helped by the those dawdling through the 70kph limit at 21kph when it was down to 1 lane. The 'road works' appeared to be work on the adjacent railway line.
Look at the space ahead of the leading vehicle and the 'road works' to the right.

First from Icebreaker. Large grid of ERC cars - now Arrow Wheels - with the fast and slow groups now combined to make a more financially viable grid for the organisers.

Only just copied the files to the PC so just grabbed a random one to post on here.
Icebreaker - September 25th 2022
Note: Michael Clark - tried to send a private message re Gamston, but your 'Inbox' is full and I don't have an email address!
The 2 Renault Gordini in post 4411 are respectively Francois (Frans) Cronje, and close behind Johan van Heerden.

The gearbox in Barry's well campaigned Rover let go not long after this was taken.

A very special car/driver combination. Lee Warn is wheelchair bound; found an MX5 that was way past its best; sourced bits and pieces to get it up to scratch and with a team of volunteers, has had it fitted with hand controls. There is a fund raising effort going on at the moment and I'll publish details later - or maybe it needs a separate thread?
Backers and supporters include Tim Hill/HRC, Wendy Metcalfe and Mark Rantin.

Before and after a bit of manipulation (Gemini only)
See the sponsorship on Fran's Gordini? Yes, that's right, none at all. Totally self funded.
Er, not quite Oldfart. Self funded, yes, as are most in the ERC Series, but plenty carry stickers of one sort or another, but don't get paid.
Arrow Wheels sponsor the series, but that really means an open bar at the awards night!
With a meeting dominated by BMW's, I'm not exactly rapt with the photographic variety options!
The background of the Spitfire in previous post is that it was built by Morley Faulkner who was part of the team that built the original Le Mans and Macau Spitfires. This car shown is as close as possible in many ways to the originals.
Great to see something a bit different too.
Just for a break... I don't think I've published these before. Apologies if I have.
Ray,
Tell me what, where and when, you took that photo of the late Tony Brise driving the Hill / Embassy # 23. (In 1975 )
