For those who missed it on Monday night, great story on Sir Jack Brabham by the ABC program Australian Story. A National Living Treasure and well deserved.
Also mentions his close friendship with Bruce McLaren and his family.

It's a goody allright, really nicely crafted and some shots not often seen as well as time spent with Jack and Margaret (and family). Thanks Nick (and GD who sent me the link earlier this week). It can be viewed at http://www.abc.net.au/austory/specials/whenwewereracers/default.htm
For fans of GP in the 50s and 60s this is a must see.

I'm a massive admirer to what Sir Jack has acheived throughout his racing career, it is truly an amazing story that will most likely never be repeated. It is unfortunate after watching this documentary to realise that Sir Jack and Lady Brabham feel he has not received the recognition in Australia as he does overseas.
I'm certain those with an appreciation of motor sport, and also a lot within the wider community who don't, have an enormous amount of respect for what he has done throughout his life. Maybe this documentary will start the ball rolling so something more is done before he greets that final chequered flag.
Lets hope this thread also brings out some old and maybe new stories of Sir Jack and Ron Tauranac and world beating racing cars they built.
