PCC is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a reunion in March this year. If you are a past member or know of someone who was, please pass this on and come along. Obviously this wont relate to anyone on here but if you do know someone who is interested and not internet savvy then get them to give me a call and I'll do the registration myself as registration is only online.
We are producing a book similar to our other milestone reunions. If you have any photographs or information you would like to contribute to the book, please email me - chris@airman.co.nz or phone. Mob 021 941330, Pte 09 2989834 or Bus 09 2623000

Sure would be appreciated if someone would post pics of the reunion, especially some of the 'golden oldie 'or original members
Thanks

Yep I'll post some pictures when I get some. I didn't take any myself but we had some semi official photographers there taking plenty of snaps. It was a great weekend for sure.
Steve Millen won the hillclimb in his Ford GT. As he said at prizegiving his last appearance there was 43 years ago and he was second and it took him 43 years to win it. :) One old member who hadn't competed for a very very long time entered his road car and below is the result of his first run. He was lucky to get out without any injuries but did have trouble getting out of it.
We do have plenty of 50th Reunion books available if anyone wants a copy. Approx 80 pages if I remember correctly. $10.00 per copy plus postage.

Yep, it looks a bit sad. Any-one we know?
Shame it was his road car...BUT it happens sometimes...did my Escort in at an event, in the late 60's..in my case a bit too much courage and not quite enough brain

Nev,yes it was a good couple of nights ,thought of you a couple of times ,think I spotted you on a couple of the old films ,but you need time to look at them and go through them slowly ,I hope that they get made into a DVD and a bit more of history gets preserved and so we can all look at them

I've PM'd you with the guys name. I destroyed my Mk2 Escort around the next corner 2 years ago. I just ran out of talent unfortunately, slid into a ditch, tore the wheels off the LHS and flipped it over. It wasn't my road car however!

Bob...trust me, it KILLED me, not being able to make it down there and shoot the breeze with all of you guys. The list of names on the sign-up sheet included so many fellows that I still have good memories of............yourself included!
Like many of us, I've taken on several projects too many..............IF I had any darn sense, I'd throw it all into a container and ship it all back home and get a life again
IF a DVD is made........I'll be at the head of the queue

The movies shown on the weekend were all of Rowan Morgans 8mm and super 8 that he had digitized and put onto a DVD. Rowan said he thought the first event on it was the first ever hillclimb that PCC did! It was certainly old for sure. There is more than an hour of footage and I think some of it has sound but we didnt have any sound on at the reunion. Rowan is going to put a brief commentary on it with the drivers and events names and make it available to everyone I think. I'll let you know.
