Passed away 13th March aged 97.
What an innings!
I remember so well that after years of the urbane Raymond Baxter, the arrival of the rather excitable Murray Walker as the BBC's Motor Racing commentator, was a bit of a shock, especially as up until then, he'd been a commentator of two wheeled motorspoprt.
But, he grew into the role and particularly when partnered by James Hunt, his total opposite, provided a much needed lift to F1 commentary - even without the famed "Muddly Talker" label.
A nice man by all accounts - and another autographed book in my collection.
