Hello folks, I recently received an email from a very nice enthusiast called Manuel Taboada, who is researching for an upcoming book on Ferrari racing history. He is requiring info on some of the New Zealand Ferrari history, and would appreciate any help you can provide. Please see his request below:
Dear Sirs,
At this time, i make, with the Italian automotive journalist and historian, Gianni Cancellieri, a book about all the overall wins by Ferrari since 1947 to 2017. A book to be presented at the 70th anniversary from Ferrari. This is a big challenge for us, and despite the large amount of information that we already have , there are some duties. In our project only counts the overall victories, not the class victories.
Well, at this point we have these doubts about some races in New Zealand.
Can you say us the hillclimbs races that Pat Hoare won in 1959/1960? At that year he was the NZ Hillclimb Champion.
We have also doubts about the date from this race record:
C 3,000-5,000 - Bruce Bellis, Ferrari Daytona, 166.8 mph, South Eyre Road, Canterbury.
Thank you so much for your colaboration.
Kind regards,
Manuel
