As many of you will know, my all time music hero is jazz trombonist, Chris Barber, still leading a great band aged 86.
The UK Channel 4 programme on car restorations with Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead found and restored the ex Chris Barber Lotus Elite, the first customer car, which Chris himself raced quite successfully as well as handing over the wheel to Mike Beckwith and Sir John Whitmore.
This 47 minute programme is well worth watching and please note that Chris is indeed 86 and not 87 as stated in the programme! He hits 87 in April. Although his memory probably isn't quite what it was (he stumbled over a band member's name when I saw them in September!), as anyone who has met him will know, he has over the years, an amazing memory for detail on both cars and jazz.
Not on YouTube, so I couldn't download it. If anyone knows how I can save it, would appreciate it.
