I'd like to welcome on board our newest sponsor to support The Roaring Season. Marty Brant is a New Zealand born and raised enthusiast originally from Otahuhu. In 1970, when he was still a kid, his family got involved with Reg Cook and his team, and Marty began working in the team from the age of 14.
Since then he has gained a huge amount of experience in motorsport, working his way up into Group A in the 1980s, where he was involved with various teams including Andrew Miedecke, and eventually Fred Gibson Motorsport, both in the Skyline Godzilla Group A era, and the later V8 Supercar era.
In 2001, Marty established Independent Race Cars Australia, based in Melbourne. His company does everything from pre-season servicing and race by race service and set-up through to complete turn-key race cars. The cars have included everything from V8 Supercars, through to Touring Car Masters (http://www.touringcarmasters.com.au/) cars.
